Meet Makena : The heart and soul behind Soul Wave Holistics

Hi, I’m Makena! I’m the founder of Soul Wave Holistics, an author, sound healing practitioner, educator, and someone who wholeheartedly believes in the power of slowing down, reconnecting with ourselves, and creating a life that feels good to live.

My journey into the world of holistic wellness began with my own experiences of navigating life, healing, and discovering just how important it is to have spaces where we can simply pause. What started as a personal passion for sound healing, meditation, and self-discovery eventually grew into something much bigger than I could have imagined.

With an educational background in marketing, business development, and psychology, along with extensive training in sound healing, meditation, grief recovery, trauma-informed practices, and energy work, I've been able to bring together two things I absolutely love: connecting with people and creating meaningful experiences.

Through Soul Wave, I've had the privilege of welcoming so many wonderful people into the studio, guiding sound baths and meditation experiences, and training nearly 200 students on their own sound healing journeys. Whether someone is attending their very first sound bath, learning to work with crystal singing bowls, or simply looking for a little more peace in their everyday life, my hope is always the same: that they leave feeling a little more connected to themselves.

Outside of the studio, I'm also an author, a mom of two, and someone who loves writing, learning, creating, and finding inspiration in the little moments of everyday life. I believe that healing and personal growth aren't about becoming an entirely different person. They're about continuing to get to know ourselves, embracing the many seasons of life, and remembering that we're allowed to change along the way.

Soul Wave has become so much more than a business to me. It's a community, a creative outlet, and a reflection of so many things I believe in.
